This privacy policy explains how BlackFire Marketing Ltd ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses and protects the personal data of visitors to our website and people who contact us or work with us. We are committed to handling your data responsibly and in line with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.
BlackFire Marketing Ltd is the data controller for the personal data described in this policy.
We only collect data we need. Depending on how you interact with us, that may include:
We use your personal data to:
Our lawful bases for processing are: your consent (for example, when you submit the contact form or opt in to marketing), the performance of a contract (when we work together), and our legitimate interests in running and improving our business - balanced against your rights.
We keep this deliberately light. This website does not currently set analytics, advertising or other tracking cookies. Any cookies used are strictly necessary ones that keep the site working. That's also why you won't see a cookie consent banner - there's nothing non-essential to consent to.
Our pages load fonts from Google Fonts, which means Google may receive your IP address when a page loads. We use this only to display the site correctly, and you can control or block cookies at any time through your browser settings.
We also display a Trustpilot reviews widget, which loads a small script from Trustpilot and may pass your IP address to them. Trustpilot states that this widget does not set cookies; we include it only to show our review rating.
If we later add analytics or advertising tools (such as Google Analytics or the Meta Pixel), we'll update this section and add a consent banner that lets you accept or reject those cookies before they load.
We do not sell your personal data. We may share it with trusted third parties who help us run our business - currently our website host and contact-form provider (Netlify) and Google (for Google Fonts) - and only so far as they need it to provide their service to us. If we add other tools, such as a scheduling platform or analytics, we'll update this list. Where required, these providers are bound by appropriate data protection terms.
We keep personal data only for as long as we need it for the purposes set out above, or as required to meet legal, accounting or reporting obligations. When we no longer need it, we delete or anonymise it securely.
Under UK data protection law you have the right to access your data, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to its processing, and to data portability. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at hello@blackfiremarketing.co.uk.
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with a revised "last updated" date.
